My name is Ava, and I am currently a first-year undergraduate student at Paris Dauphine University – PSL, based on its London campus. The idea for RoomSwapping came from my own experience. When I had to find accommodation in London, I realized that student residences were very expensive and that many shared housing options were unreliable. I was fortunate that my parents were able to finance my accommodation, but this situation made me think about all the students who do not have the same financial resources. I then realized that housing costs are often a major barrier to student mobility, whether for exchange programs, internships, or travel opportunities. To address this issue, I decided to create RoomSwapping. My goal is to provide a practical, more affordable, and flexible solution that enables more students to enjoy academic and cultural experiences without housing becoming an obstacle.

Hi, I'm Louis. I'm a law and geography student at Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, and I joined RoomSwapping with one simple conviction: finding student housing shouldn't feel like an obstacle course. I've watched too many fellow students struggle to find a room that's safe, decent, and actually affordable. That reality is what drove me to get involved : because student mobility is so wonderful that it deserves better than stress and uncertainty. My dream? Studying international law in New York. Therefore, my goal is as simple as it is ambitious: make RoomSwapping a reliable, fully operational platform before I get there, so that when the time comes, I can find my own New York room through something we built together. To me, RoomSwapping is both a collective work and a personal bet. I think that makes all the difference !

I am a technology leader with 25 years of experience building secure, high-availability digital platforms. Throughout my career in IT architecture, operations and software delivery, my focus has been on user protection, privacy and system reliability.

My background covers digital identity, customer identity and access management, cybersecurity, data protection, regulatory requirements and secure payment environments. At RoomSwapping, my role is to ensure that technology, security, privacy and operational reliability are built into the foundations of the platform.

Beyond technology, I have always been passionate about travel. From backpacking and homestays to home exchanges and a round-the-world trip in 2017, I have experienced first-hand the importance of trust when staying in someone else's home — or welcoming someone into your own.

Today, I bring together my technical experience and my passion for travel to help make student mobility safer, simpler and more human.
